Super Cyclops (Technical Information)
Super Cyclops is the largest and most advanced live action motion control system in the UK.
Being able to repeat high-speed moves with precision and stability is Super Cyclops' main forte. It has a vast operating range of 20' maximum height and 13' maximum reach all along 40' or 60'of precision track.
As the only "Super Cyclops" available in the UK, it's speed and range of movement are unsurpassed by any other rig in the UK. When established within the studio and positioned on the 40' rails, custom hydraulics allow the operator to lift the whole system with rails, and drive it around the stage very easily using a simple joystick control. In this way the rig can be moved into or out of position without the need to power down or re boot. This process can take as little as 5 minutes to perform allowing space for other camera set-ups, vehicle access or set strikes. The rig can also be removed from the rails and used without the track axis if required.
As part of the standard Cyclops package, the "Universal” head offers unlimited Pan and Roll and 270 degrees of Tilt. As the only head of its kind in the UK, it is fast and rigid enough to accommodate most standard cameras including video and HD without loss of range of movement.
With the Mark Robert's custom FLAIR software all camera speeds from 0.01 to 120 Fps are achievable
