Mini Rig (Technical Information)
The Mini Rig is a 'simple dolly' system developed for use where repeatability is required but access is limited. It consists of a narrow gauge rail to which is mounted a platform and motor.
Moy risers are then fitted to the platform giving differing heights and an ARRI MK1 geared head used to mount the camera. Repeatable motors are attached to the Pan and Tilt shafts as well as Focus and Zoom on the lens.
Any axis can be fully programmed
and repeated or operated manually and recorded for subsequent
repeat passes.
An unlimited amount of moves of any length can be stored,
edited and refined as required as well as “smoothing”
of manual recordings.
The camera is synced to the software, which allows exact
frame repeatability
