Juno (Technical Information)
The Juno is a medium sized motion control rig
that is perfect for pack-shots and limited range shooting. It
is fast, accurate and reliable enough to be used for "live
action" filming, yet small enough to fit through most standard
size door openings.
As the only one of its kind, it is very portable due to its unique
size
The Juno incorporates 10 fully computer controlled axes with extra
channels available for additional Model
Movers, it is quick and easy to set up either on location
or in the studio and can be packed into custom flight cases for
shipment to any destination.
Currently, the head axis can be manually set in any of 5 preset
angles; (0, 45, 90, 135, 180 degrees from vertical). This gives
the Juno an operating range of 5' 4"(1.62m) maximum lens
height (head under-slung), (or 10'2" (3.09m) with the head
over-slung) and 8'8"(2.64m) maximum reach all along precision
track. The overall range in any configuration is 6'1" but
the Juno can be positioned onto decking to give a greater vertical
lens height if required.
As part of the standard rig package, the "Guinness"
3 axis head offers Pan and Roll and Tilt. The standard head configuration
is set to run a Mitchell
S35 film camera with a custom motor module. The lens mount
can be specified as Panavision (PV academy or full gate centre)
or BNCR (academy centre only) and a range of Ground
Glasses and BNCR lenses
are available. Alternatively a range of standard cameras can be
fitted including an ARRI 435 Advanced, without loss of range of
movement.
A special unit can also be fitted to the camera platform allowing
the use of "Preston" or "Arri" lens control
systems. The software will accurately record and save the wireless
lens movements and then repeat that motion for selected takes.
With the Mark Robert's custom FLAIR
software all camera speeds from 0.01 to 120 Fps are achievable.
